Livin the Creative Life

Check Spelling

What have I been up too? Seems like a little bit of everything... Livin the creative life and loving it!~

My first run at Valentines day & it was a huge success!!!

I decided to do it at the very last minute... I think three weeks prior, maybe less. It wanted to do a small run at it just to see if I was cut out to own my floral shop.... It really did ignite something in me.

This book has always inspired me with the look and atmosphere that I want to create... Small country, shabby chic & just quite simple with a twist of uniqueness and pottery ;)

These were so fun to make... and a huge hit for the Elementary and Jr. High girls! its amazing what a Campbell's can, can become with a little burlap and buttons :0

This is was one of my faves!

What else have I been up too! Well still working on the cabinets.... no updated photo for that project... I guess that tells you how far I've gotten :))) or we've gotten.

However... I did paint my dining room and I absolutely love it! went from red walls tooo.....

Feel very peaceful and refreshing... love it with my morning java ;0

Made these arrangements for an event at The Cockerell Art Gallery in Abilene , displaying an amazing local Abstract Contemporary Expressionist CALina Mishay.
You can also see her work displayed at Bonterra Blu located at 205 South First Street in Clyde Texas. Bonterra Blu is a must experience amazing and unique Cajun Bistro.
The theme was jewel tones ....

My new obsession! Vintage hats! Found it at Hensons Antiques 230 Market Street Baird Texas. Can't wait to wear her on an evening out, or on a Sunday morning.

My Spring wreath for the front door

Made this sweet bouquet for the Clyde Women's Club.... It was for a drawing for our monthly luncheon we have, the theme was flowers, gardening and St. Patty's day. Through in some Clyde and they loved it!

More Momentum

A day of more movement! It really has arrived!

Lots of exciting stuff is going on in me and all around me.... I've felt like I've moved out of a season of rest and into a season of lots of movement.... However its taken me a few months to plunge and move in the things I'm called to do in my life.
Its been a loooonnnggg process and its not over and really hasn't been much fun at times. It actually has sucked!
Being honest with yourself is one one the hardest things to do! When God reveals the reality of your patterns of your familar ways... yup its hard to face, but true reality is freedom, glory, lauhgter, true loves, true friendships and even a true Identity.... One that lines up with the desires of your heart. Its a beautiful thing!
So in that journey, and process I've realized how much I love flowers,I love to create beautiful wonders, with my hands using just about anything but preferbaly pottery and flowers....
So today there was much movement in making my passion, reality!

I finally got my business cards! They look fabulous!
Take a looksy!

Created and designed bt local muscian and atrists Elliott Park

This is the back of the card .....
"The earth laughs in flowers" - Ralph Waldo Emerson
And my next exciting movement is this beautiful postcard designed by the beautiful talented Kristina Akers.... Promoting Valentines Day! Pre book your order today!!!
FEELING THE LOVE!
Even when we are in the desert and its hard to move, and distractions & shame set in I & we need to remember
Instead of your shame you will recieve a double portion (of riches), and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance, And so you will inherit a double portion in your land and everlasting JOY will be yours. Isaiah 61:7
So this is another piece to the momentum! More pieces, and a update on the cabinet movement soon.
BTW moving slowly : /
Until next! I'll be moven on up ;)

Momentum has arrived

So I've had all these ideas and plans to do numerous things...... One was to write again, filter my thoughts & ideas.
So here I am writing and I feel this overflow of words and excites me! YUPPIE! Even with Mickey Mouse Club, floating loudly in the background...

The thoughts & ideas are from anywhere to business, writing, flowers, pottery & painting kitchen cabinets, ETC. Instead of moving in those ideas I've just sat here day dreaming about them and wondered if and when I was going to take the ultimate plunge...And bring one or two or all of the ideas to life.

Well I did it.... I'm taking the plunge , the momentum has arrived and I am painting my kitchen cabinets!!!!! Yay! finally! Hooray!

Movement has arrived in many areas of my life in this season, but let me start sharing the experience with the "cabinets."

I'm going to be writing about the process. So I here I go......
One of the reasons I want to paint the cabinets is they have a serious 80's look going on. They are so boring and have no character! They remind me of kitchen scene from a 80's flick , like footloose, eight is enough, facts of life..... I could go on. I want to bring them to life. The cabinets are oak wood they really do have potiental. We have a total of 28 cabinets so this is going to be a serious job.

Take a looksy....

28 cabinets total!

Tim & I sure have our work cut out for us!

The look I've decided is black stain & roughen the edges and random places through the stain to give it a rustic, shabby look. They will fabulous when there done!

More to come later my friends! Pray and wish us luck! Seriously!

OH!

P.S. To those friends that would like to help or have showed interest... (you know who your are) feel free to stop by and grab some goggles and paint brush and keep me company ;)

more to come!

I'M BACK!

I feel like I have been given some downloads of ideas, passions, seasons, whispers, changes, visions, clarity, hope restored, and just random thoughts. It's been a very long season of just finding myself and putting in order my passions, values, desires. M
It's been a roller coaster ride of emotions. Lots of laughter, tears, honesty and most of all just being SET FREE. So for the next several weeks, I will be sharing everything from.... " This and That." Nothing particular... Just "this" & just "that" I just want to share my heart!

So Enjoy!
